This semi-detached house was in need of a slight uplift, the dated pebble-dashed render was completely stripped back to brickwork and a new modern render was applied as well as repainting, the garden was totally re-done with new indian sandstone paving as well as new turf but not before levelling the ground first allowing for a nice flat surface to walk on as well as making it much more visually appealing.
Before
To begin with the original render was stripped back and removed, the outbuilding was torn down as it was no longer needed as well as the brick walling that was on the verge of collapsing, a new footing was dug to allow for a new brick retaining wall.
The Next Step
A new brick retaining wall is built further out from the original wall to allow for a larger patio area, new steps are also built outside the back door and also down to the garden itself which are clad in the same indian sandstone to match.
Levelling Up
Sleepers are fixed around the perimeter of the garden and set up in tiers to allow for easy access getting up and down, multiple tons of new soil is brought in to level the garden up and remove the dangerous slope of the original, a pathway is also laid in the same indian sandstone down to the bottom of the garden for easy access to a future shed.
Goes With The Turf
New turf is laid which gives the garden the biggest transformation since we started, a new washing line holder is also installed at the customers request at a comfortable location and new fence panels are installed to close off the gap left by the old outbuilding.
Completion
With the tufing finished and the patio given a good jetwash the final step was to install timber balustrading and handrails to make the top area safe to accomodate for the customers impaired mobility, a new sidegate is also installed for security.
